Suborbital flight / Spaceport

The construction of a spaceport is still a major challenge for space travel. With the help of many spaceports, we could travel between America and Asia in just a few minutes. Many operators cannot perform space flights because of lack of spaceports.

The Oklahoma Spaceport

Rocketplane Limited, Inc and Oklahoma Space Industry Development Agency (OSIDA) have bundled up their forces to bring the state Oklahoma to the point of the aerial industry and space industry. Together with the state Oklahoma, OSIDA and Rocketplane will further develop the potential of Oklahoma Spaceport and use.

Oklahoma Spaceport owns with a length of 13.502 feet (4.115 m) the third-biggest runway for starting and landing operations in North America; the runway also serves as an alternative landing field for the Space Shuttle and is used every single day by military and private airplanes. The total area with all constructions, offices, hangars and housing and servicing halls encloses more than 17 square kilometres.

The Spaceport lies in immediate neighbourhood of the 'State of the Art Western Technology Center' in Burns Flat, where the technologies and training equipment are ready which is used by Rocketplane for the preparatory training for the space flights. Oklahoma Spaceport is with thus one of the worldwide best of all equipped start places in all for space flights with both tourist operations and scientific missions.
